Teachers Who Shaped My Journey!

From the earliest days of my childhood, teachers have been my guiding lights, shaping not just my education but also my perspective on life itself. Reflecting on my 25-year journey so far, I can't help but feel immense gratitude towards each and every educator who has crossed my path.

It all began with my mother, my first teacher, whose love and patience laid the foundation of my learning. As I reminisce, memories of my Lower Kindergarten days flood back, especially of my first favourite teacher, Lakshmi ma'am. She sparked my curiosity and made learning a joyous adventure.

I distinctly remember the bittersweet feeling on my last day of school, tears streaming down my face as I lay in my mother's lap, wondering if I would find such inspirational figures in my future education. To my surprise and relief, I did. In my 11th standard, I found a mentor in one of my favourite teachers, who is the director of my college. His engaging life stories filled our 4-hour sessions, blending chemistry lessons with wisdom that extended far beyond textbooks.

Undergraduate years brought a mix of confusion and discovery, but amidst it all were professors who eased tensions with humour and a passionate English professor determined to ignite change in the youth. There was also a caring, innocent madam tirelessly working to ensure students excelled, providing crucial guidance and support.

Now, in my master's program, I am experiencing a global exposure thanks to amazing professors who prioritize mental health alongside academic rigor. Their dedication motivates me daily, reminding me of the responsibility to not just succeed academically but to honour their efforts by making a positive impact in the world.

Reflecting on my journey, I am struck by how fortunate I've been to have such incredible individuals shape my educational path. Their influence reaches far beyond the classroom, instilling values, sparking curiosity, and fostering a lifelong love for learning.
